Beavers Bend Park is a comprehensive 26-acre reinvestment that reimagines a cherished neighborhood park while strengthening its connection to the surrounding wetland environment. The project replaces more than two miles of aging trail infrastructure, stabilizes slopes along the wetland corridor, and introduces new play and gathering spaces designed to support year-round recreation. The redesign emphasizes nature-based play, weaving immersive play environments and a universally accessible playground into the park’s natural landscape. These elements encourage exploration while allowing visitors of all abilities to experience the park’s distinctive ecological setting. A centrally located pavilion serves as a focal point for the park, creating a welcoming community hub for neighborhood events, family gatherings, and daily use. Throughout the site, improvements are carefully integrated to enhance ecological performance while protecting the park’s active wetland habitat. The presence of a resident beaver colony becomes a celebrated educational feature, reinforcing the park’s identity as a place where recreation and environmental stewardship coexist.
