The Aqua Bark Dog Park alternative site study explores the feasibility of creating a destination dog park within a large open meadow landscape defined by dramatic topography and a central creek valley. The design framework uses the site’s natural grade changes and scenic views to organize activity zones and create varied play experiences for dogs and their owners.

A creek corridor bisects the site, serving as both a natural feature and a key organizing element for the park. Pedestrian bridges connect activity areas on either side of the valley, allowing visitors to move easily throughout the park while preserving the ecological character of the creek.

A signature feature of the park is an interactive dog splash pad designed specifically for canine play, introducing a unique water-based amenity that encourages social interaction and year-round recreation. A regional trail corridor also passes through the site, strengthening connectivity and linking the dog park to Frisco’s broader trail network. Together, these elements establish Aqua Bark as a vibrant recreational destination for the community.
